Novel Study: The Giver: Movie Study

After students have finished reading Lois Lowry’s The Giver, have them watch the movie adaptation in order to compare the written and visual forms of the story! This two-page extension activity begins with a graphic organizer that students will use to record the similarities and differences between the novel and film, as well as how the experience of reading the book differed from that of watching the movie.
