Worksheet
Opinion Writing Prompt: Roll-a-Pie
You may have tried a savory or a sweet pie, but what about a silly one? In this worksheet, learners will roll a die to determine their pie’s filling, top crust, and topping. They will then draw what their pie looks like and write about whether or not they would want to eat their pie.
This activity is a fun way to help first and second graders practice opinion writing. Students will express their thoughts about why or why not they would eat their pie, allowing them to work on organization, write complete sentences, and communicate their opinions. This writing worksheet is a great addition to Thanksgiving or Pi Day celebrations!
