Personal Narrative Writing Prompt: Moments That Matter: Family Tradition

Traditions involving food, activities, holidays, and more are meaningful to many families around the world! Students will describe one of their family traditions in this narrative-writing worksheet. They can talk about a time they participated in this tradition, how it made them feel, and what it means to them. 

This prompt was designed for young writers in middle school. Students can reflect on important moments in their own lives as they practice vital communication skills such as organizing events and using descriptive details. They can also use this prompt to develop their personal voice and use narrative techniques such as figurative language in context.
