Worksheet

Pick the Punctuation #3

Differentiate between questions and statements with this first- and second-grade grammar worksheet! Students will read nine short sentences, each of which is missing its ending punctuation mark. Learners must decide whether the sentence should end with a period or question mark, then color in their answer.

Understanding ending punctuation can help students improve their reading fluency and comprehension. As learners come to recognize the function and purpose of periods and question marks, they can begin to use them in their own writing to form clear and grammatically correct sentences.
