Pythagorean Theorem Practice #2

Practicing the Pythagorean theorem is easy as pie in this cheerful worksheet! Students will be given the measurements of the two legs of eight different right triangles. They will need to find the length of each hypotenuse (rounded to the nearest tenth) by using the Pythagorean theorem. 

Give this worksheet to eighth graders learning about right triangles and the use of the Pythagorean theorem. Learners can practice using the formula to find the length of a hypotenuse based on the length of the triangle’s legs and become familiar with common Pythagorean triples and their multiples. They can also work on estimating square roots and rounding irrational values to the nearest tenth.
