Rational and Irrational Numbers: Hidden Number #2

Track down the tricky hidden number in this eighth-grade worksheet! Students will need to look at each box in the grid and shade in only the ones that contain an irrational number. When they’re done, the shaded boxes will reveal the hidden number. To finish the worksheet, students will determine whether the hidden number is rational or irrational.

Use this worksheet to give students practice differentiating between rational and irrational numbers, including integers, decimals, fractions, square roots, and more! This skill can improve students’ understanding of number theory and give them a strong foundation to learn about more complex math topics.
