Read and Draw: Diphthongs

Doodle your diphthongs as you practice your phonics skills in this creative worksheet! Students will be presented with six sentences. They will be asked to underline all of the words with the diphthongs oi, oy, ou, and ow in each sentence. Then, they’ll draw a pictures to show what is happening in the sentences. 

This worksheet is intended for first and second graders who are practicing their phonics and reading skills. Practice with diphthongs can make students better readers as they learn to recognize more complex letter patterns. They will also work on comprehending the sentences they read.
