Reading a Grid Map #4: On the Farm

Ride through a farm in this engaging grid map worksheet! Students are given a grid map of a farm that contains cows, a tractor, a barn, a windmill, and a cornfield. Then, learners are shown four pairs of coordinates. Students must identify which item is at each coordinate pair, then write the item’s name in the blank.

Reading maps is an important skill for young learners to have. Maps can help strengthen students’ sense of direction and place as they find and identify locations. Grid maps are a great way to build a foundation before learners read more detailed maps.
