Reflection Prompt: Acts of Kindness

Reflect on how you can make the world a friendlier place with this thoughtful writing prompt. In this activity, students will reflect on the times they have given and received kindness. Students will write about each act of kindness, how it made them feel, and whether or not it can be difficult to show kindness. Then, learners will draw three ways they will show kindness in the coming week.

This reflection is geared toward third, fourth, and fifth grade learners. Thinking about the ways kindness can impact others is a great way to help with social and emotional development, as it can prompt students to show appreciation for their friends, family, classmates, and community. Small, everyday acts of kindness can make a big impact on others!
