Relative Pronouns: Art Contest

Read about a marine art contest in this worksheet about relative pronouns! To begin, learners will review the functions of the relative pronouns such as who, whom, whose, which, and that. Students are then asked to circle the relative pronoun in each of five sentences. Lastly, students will read five more sentences and write the correct relative pronoun in each blank to finish out the story.

This worksheet is a great addition to a fourth- or fifth-grade grammar lesson. As students become familiar with relative pronouns, they will be able to use them in their own writing to add detail and clarity in relative clauses. Relative clauses can also provide variety in sentence structure, leading to more interesting writing.
