Worksheet
Rhyme, Draw, and Write: Summer
Get ready for some fun in the sun with this rhyming worksheet! Students are given four summertime words: sun, hat, sand, and pool. For each word, learners will write a word that rhymes, then draw a picture of their word. Students are then asked to write a sentence using both rhyming words.
Created for first and second graders, this practice encourages students to think about ending sounds and letter patterns. Learners may also use their knowledge of word families to find rhymes. The additional writing element will provide students the opportunity to improve their handwriting and practice sentence structure.
