Right on Target: Rounding Decimals

Can you hit the bullseye by correctly rounding decimal numbers? For each of 10 problems, learners will read the decimal number, then round it to the nearest tenth, hundredth, and thousandth. The first one has been pre-filled to provide students with an example.

This activity aims to reinforce fifth graders’ understanding of place value in decimal numbers. Learners will also be working with decimals to the ten-thousandths place, providing experience with a place they may not use frequently in decimal operations. Practicing rounding is a great way to get students more comfortable with decimal numbers, giving them confidence to tackle decimal addition and subtraction.
