Worksheet
Roll a Word: AR
Are you ready to learn your -ar words? In this worksheet, students will need to distinguish real words from nonsense words! They will be asked to roll a die and add the corresponding ending to each beginning letter. Then, they’ll read the new word they just created and circle whether it is real or nonsense.
This worksheet is perfect for giving first and second graders practice with decoding and fluency. Learners can get more comfortable reading words with the r-controlled vowel -ar. They’ll also test their vocabulary and may even learn a few new words while they’re at it!
