Seed Dispersal Helpers: Cut and Sort
Discover how seeds move to new places with this cut-and-paste worksheet! Seeds can be moved, or dispersed, to new locations with the help of living and nonliving things. In this activity, students will cut out six images of seed dispersal helpers. Then, learners will determine if the helper is living or nonliving and paste it into the corresponding column.
Geared toward second and third graders, this hands-on worksheet will introduce young scientists to the different ways seeds can move. Seed dispersal is just one way that biotic and abiotic factors interact in an ecosystem! This activity will prompt learners to think about the other ways living and nonliving things interact and support one another.
