Sentence Sort: Commands and Questions

Let’s sort our sentences into commands and questions! In this hands-on activity, first- and second-grade students will cut out each of the fun sentence squares, identify the sentence type, and then paste them in the correct category.

This simple and engaging cut-and-paste worksheet will prepare students to write their own commands and questions. As young learners begin to unpack the components of language, it is important that they have a firm grasp of sentence types.
