Short "I" Vowel

Learning short vowel sounds is one of the first steps in phonics instruction. This worksheet offers good practice with identifying the short "I" sound. Kids see a set of pictures – some with the short "I" sound, and some without. They say the word for each picture, then circle the pictures that have the short "I" sound. Then they write their own short "I" word on the lines provided at the bottom of this phonics worksheet.
