Spooky Shadows Matching

Match each Halloween item to its shadow in this cut-and-paste activity! Preschoolers and kindergarteners will cut out six shapes at the bottom of the page: a kernel of candy corn, a pumpkin, a bat, an eyeball, a spider, and a witch’s hat. Then, students must paste each item next to its matching shadow.

This hands-on activity encourages students to pay close attention to the shape, size, and details of 2D objects. Visual discrimination is vital for early learners, as it plays a significant role in reading, writing, math, and everyday activities outside of the classroom.
