Summer Fact and Opinion

Soak up the joys of summer with this fact versus opinion worksheet! Geared towards learners in the third through fifth grades, students will identify each of the summer-themed sentences as either fact or opinion. Then, as an added bonus, young learners will write their own sentences to put their understanding of facts and opinions into practice.

As students develop their opinion writing skills, it’s important that they learn the relationship between opinions and facts. An opinion is typically supported by a fact, but a fact exists independently from an opinion. Recognizing this difference will hone critical thinking and logic skills as learners navigate complex topics.

Still working on solidifying the difference between fact and opinion? Identifying Fact and Opinion and Fact and Opinion Adjectives are more resources for review!
