Sunshine and Story Time: A Summer Reading Challenge

Soak up the summer sun as you complete this preschool and kindergarten reading challenge! To complete this activity, students will complete summer-themed reading prompts, such as reading while wearing sunglasses, reading a book about a water sport, or reading while sitting under a tree. Students will keep track of how many books they’ve read, then write the title of the best book they read all summer!

This engaging challenge will connect stories to the activities, sights, and themes of summer. With creative and hands-on prompts, students can foster enthusiasm about books, establish regular reading habits, and strengthen their reading comprehension skills.
