Worksheet
Syllable Sort: Cut and Paste #3
Count out the syllables in words like pumpkin and piano in this hands-on worksheet! To begin, students will cut out each picture at the bottom of the worksheet. Young readers will determine what word the picture represents, then count the syllables in that word. Learners are then asked to paste the image under the corresponding column for two-, three-, or four-syllable words.
Created for kindergarteners and first graders, this activity will reinforce the concept that syllables are the building blocks of words. By counting syllables, students can strengthen their reading and spelling skills.
