Symmetry Practice: Balanced Bookshelf

For a bookish way to practice geometry, check out this charming activity! Students will need to use the image on the left side of the grid to draw the other half of the image. The right side should be a mirror image of the left side. When they’re done, students can color in the bookshelf image. 

This activity was designed for sixth graders reviewing the concept of symmetry. Students can reinforce their knowledge of an important geometry concept while also practicing their attention to detail and drawing skills. Try giving this worksheet to students who need something to do between activities!
