Worksheet

Target Numbers: Integer Addition

Is your integer addition accurate enough to hit the bullseye every time? Find out in this addition activity! In each of the six problems, students will be presented with a target that includes a number of positive and negative single-digit integers. Students will need to use two of the numbers from the target as addends to finish an addition equation and make the intended sum.

This worksheet is a good choice for seventh graders working on basic integer addition skills. Students will build computational fluency adding integers between -10 and 10. They can also identify equivalent expressions by finding more than one way to achieve the target number, using their problem-solving skills to determine the best approach to completing an equation that is missing two numbers.
