The Four Types of Sentences

It’s time to make a statement! Teach fourth-grade students about the four sentence types to enhance their communication skills. This comprehensive worksheet provides an explanation and example of each sentence type: declarative, imperative, exclamatory, and interrogative. There are three activities for students to complete that will enhance their understanding of sentence structure and purpose.

In Part 1, learners read eight sentences and identify their types by writing the first letter of the sentence type on a blank line.
