The Pilgrims

The Pilgrims weren't always, you know, THE Pilgrims. In this worksheet, read all about their lives before they landed at Plymouth Rock! Students will read a passage about the Pilgrim, or Separatist, community before they left Europe and their journey to North America. Then, they will answer three questions based on the information in the passage. 

This worksheet is a great way for middle schoolers to learn more about one of the first English communities to settle in North America, including the religious and political context for their relocation. Students will also work on important reading comprehension skills as they use the text to answer the questions.
