True Colors: Word Form to Thousands

Put your knowledge of word form to the test with this fun, hands-on worksheet! Fourth graders are asked to read each whole number, then determine which of two word forms is correct. Students will then color in the corresponding gumball.

This activity will help learners strengthen their place value skills by identifying the word form of numbers up to 10,000. Students must be able to correctly name numbers within this range, as they will later need to identify and name six- and seven-digit numbers.

For additional practice with the word form of numbers, check out Writing the Word Form of Numbers Up to 10,000 or Word Form to Standard Form: Thousands.
