Worksheet
Vibe Check: Interjections #2
Hooray! You can learn to use interjections in your own writing with this engaging worksheet! To start, students are given a list of emotions, such as satisfaction, disbelief, and fright. Based on the emotion, learners will pick an interjection from the bank, then write a sentence to express that feeling.
Created for fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, this creative practice will encourage students to consider tone and voice in their own writing. Interjections help to communicate emotions indirectly, which can make writing more descriptive and engaging. Students will also practice using punctuation as they set off the interjection in the sentence.
This worksheet is the second in this series. Keep practicing with Vibe Check: Interjections #1 and Vibe Check: Interjections #3!
