What's Behind the Door?

The girl is unsure about what she will find on the other side of the door. What do you think is on the other side, and what will happen if the girl opens it? Children will use their creative writing skills to continue the story in this fiction writing exercise, taking care to include story elements and descriptive language.  Designed for fifth graders, this prompt is a fun, inventive way to hone students' writing skills and creativity.
