Worksheet

Which Plant Can Live in This Habitat? Forest

Take a walk through a flora-filled forest with this habitat worksheet! First, students will write a brief description of a forest habitat. Then, learners are asked to consider the needs of a cactus, wildflowers, and a pine tree. Students will determine whether each plant could survive in the forest, then explain their reasoning.

Created for second graders, this worksheet will prompt learners to think about how living things have unique needs—even plants! Some plants require more sun or more water than others, and not every habitat can meet those needs. Students will also practice explaining their thinking and presenting evidence, which is helpful for scientific research.
