Why Do People Vote?
Learn about the foundational process of American democracy in this essential social studies worksheet! Students will first read a passage that will teach them about the levels of government citizens can vote for, who has the right to vote now, and who had the right to vote historically. They will also learn about some of the duties different government levels are responsible for. Then, on page 2, students will demonstrate what they have learned as they answer comprehension questions about the content of the passage.
