Compound Words: Word to Word
Kids draw a line from a word in the first column to a word in the second column to make a compound word. Then they write the compound word in the third column. You can also have your child think about the meanings of the two individual words and how they relate to the meaning of the compound word. Reading compound words is an important part of decoding and word recognition, knowledge your child can apply to achieve fluent oral and silent reading.
