Writing an Introduction for Informational Text

It’s important to know how to introduce yourself! Use this two-page worksheet to teach your fifth graders about writing an introduction for informational text. First, students practice writing hooks and read some sample introductions to get a feel for writing process and organization. Once students have a good handle on introductions, the final exercise asks them to practice their essay writing skills with a short paragraph of their own.
