Worksheet

Writing Linear Equations in Slope-Intercept Form From Tables

Analyze tables to determine linear equations in this eighth-grade worksheet! For each problem, students will review a table of x- and y-coordinates that represent a linear function. Learners must figure out the equation of each line and write it in slope-intercept form (y = mx + b).

This worksheet includes tables that have both unit- and non-unit changes in the x-coordinate, as well as some that do not show the y-intercept. This will test students’ understanding of slope-intercept form and prompt learners to figure out the correct equation by formula alone, not by referencing a graph.
