Writing Passages and Making Predictions

Writing Passages and Making Predictions

This prediction activity engages students in thinking about the skill of “predicting” from a writer’s point of view. Students will craft short texts that include clues as to what might happen next. Students can then swap papers with a classmate and practice making predictions using one another’s examples. This is particularly helpful in the third grade classroom.
