Worksheet
Writing Wacky Word Problems: Multiplication and Division #1
Solve silly word problems with this fill-in-the-blank math worksheet! To start, students will fill in the table at the top of the page with a name, an animal, and numbers within specific ranges. Learners will then use those answers to fill in a wacky story about an escaped class pet! Lastly, students are asked to plug in numbers from the story to complete multiplication and division word problems.
No matter how goofy the story gets, fourth graders will still gain valuable practice multiplying and dividing with two- and three-digit numbers. Learners will also get to interpret word problems, determine whether to use multiplication or division in their equations, and work with remainders.
