X Marks the Spot! Jungle Treasure

Have a jaunt through the jungle as you create a treasure map! In this worksheet, students will use the given symbols to draw a map of a jungle, including rivers, trees, and waterfalls. They can add some of their own symbols, too. Students will need to make sure they draw an X wherever they decide to hide their treasure. 

This worksheet was designed for first and second graders learning about fundamental map skills. They’ll practice interpreting a map key and showing different landmarks and objects with map symbols. Basic map literacy is vital for students as they learn more about geography and real-life maps!
