Role Models of Perseverance

What You Need:

• "Amazing Kids of Character: Perseverance" video (YouTube)
• Perseverance in Challenging Times worksheet

What You Do:

1. Ask your child what "perseverance" means to them.
2. Tell them that "perseverance" means to work hard and persist, even amidst difficulties.
3. Ask the following questions:
   1. Who in your life demonstrates perseverance?
   2. When is a time that you have persevered?
4. Show the "Amazing Kids of Character: Perseverance" video.
5. Afterwards, ask, "Who demonstrated perseverance in the video?"
6. Take out the Perseverance in Challenging Times worksheet, and review its instructions together.
7. Support your child in creating a slideshow presentation or poster that defines and illustrates perseverence.
