# 2.MD.A.1 Lesson Plans

#### CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.MD.A.1

:
"Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes."

Our Take: In second grade, students measure the length of objects using standard units of measurement. They should decide which measuring tool to use (ruler, yardstick, etc.) and find an accurate measurement for that object. Give students plenty of opportunities to measure objects of various sizes.

These lesson plans can help students practice this Common Core State Standards skill.
