Holidays are an exciting part of a child’s life, and Valentine's Day can make winter a little brighter! As students celebrate and explore the fun of Valentine's Day through activity centers, a loving feeling will soon fill the air.

This lesson plan teaches kids about W.E.B. Du Bois through video and a short informational text. Students will compare/contrast their findings and create a poster in small groups showing what they learned.

In this lesson, students will hear the story Say Something and make promises to each other to speak up when others are lonely or hurt. They will also have an opportunity to express themselves through acts of service and painting.
