4th graders construct an ocean food web to learn about consumers and trophic levels, food webs, and food chains in this cool ecology science fair project.

Why doesn't the ocean freeze? Students answer this question by simulating the chemical composition and temperature of arctic waters in their own home.

Science fair project which simulates the global conveyor belts on a small scale, and observes the effects of wind, density and temperature on water movement.

In this investigation, an oil spill is simulated in a jar to observe the damage that oil spills have on the ocean and ocean life.

In this experiment, you'll make a seafloor spreading model to learn more about how plate tectonics work and create mid-ocean ridges.

In this project, you'll build a model of the earth, complete with all seven continents and four major oceans.

You've heard all about oil spills, but can they really be that bad? After all, vegetable oil is in almost every yummy baking good from cookies to brownies.

This science fair project idea compares biodiversity between drops of water.

This science fair project idea investigates how a bottom keel helps keep a boat from rocking back and forth.

This science fair project examines how tsunamis travel by simulating a tsunami moving around an island. You will generate a pretend tsunami in a swimming pool.

How does water pressure change with depth? Kids learn how pressure works underwater with this cool and easy demo.

Will increasing the amount of salt in water effect how slow or fast the water freezes?

What heats up fasterâwater or soil? 5th grade students test the specific heat of water against the specific heat of sand in this great science fair project.

How do animals keep warm? In this experiment, find out whether fat insulation resists cold temperatures and learn how this works in the animal kingdom.

Using an empty tennis ball can and a swimming pool, you will determine if it's possible to have a conversation under water.

Brine shrimp usually live in saltwater. Investigate how salt concentration (salinity) affects the rate at which brine shrimp eggs hatch.

Explore the scientific concept of capacity by seeing how many pennies you boat can hold before it sinks!

In this science fair project, students will create a model of a shoreline, observe erosion and examine how jetties prevent erosion.

In this free science fair project, learn how to separate salt from water using heat. A great science project for elementary school kids.

Science fair project which measures whether tsunamis are more destructive when they are caused by an earthquake or by a meteor.

In this science experiment, observe convection currents forming and learn about how heat energy moves in liquids from hot to cooler areas through convection.

The objective of this science fair project is to analyze the effects of salinity and temperature on water.

Science fair project which determines if plants really do need water to grow, or whether they just need to be kept wet.

With this cool floating rocks project, your child will get some hands-on experience with buoyancy and learn why certain rocks like pumice are able to float.

Why do plants wilt? Kids will learn to think critically about what environmental factors affect plants, and what plants need to survive.

Learn about the layers of the Earth and make a model! Create a earth layer book, cake, or clay diagram.
