In this lesson, students will identify new vocabulary words from a text read aloud. After selecting new words, they will create their own picture dictionaries to learn the meaning of each new word.

This lesson plan teaches kids about W.E.B. Du Bois through video and a short informational text. Students will compare/contrast their findings and create a poster in small groups showing what they learned.

Students will learn about the holiday El Día de los Muertos through engaging activities and connecting to their own traditions.
