In this lesson, students will practice comparing and contrasting texts...without even reading them! By looking closely at pictures and text features, students will be prepared to further compare fiction texts.

Enhance your child's predictive abilities with this creative reading lesson. By imitating the styles of Eric Carle's Do You Want to Be My Friend?, students will create and share their own mini guessing games.

In this lesson, the class will review what it means to make an inference. After you model how to make an inference in a painting using your schema, your students will work in groups to analyze additional paintings to make more inferences.
