Mindfulness, healthy eating, and regular exercise are all tools for resilience. In this lesson, students will learn about tools that can help them to build greater resilience and ease in their lives.

This support lesson provides students the opportunity to use two different tools to measure the length of familiar objects while introducing content specific vocabulary words. Use alone or alongside the lesson How Big is the Playground?

Students will hear about the benefits of mindfulness from JusTme's rap song, "I'm Inspired", practice mindfulness and the STOP tool, and then write raps of their own, encouraging others to practice mindfulness and the STOP method.

Sometimes looking inside a word can help determine the meaning just like using context clues! In this lesson, students will learn to use roots and affixes as clues to the meaning of a word.
