In this lesson your students will classify two-dimensional shapes using a Venn diagram based on their features.

Teach your students the difference between facts and opinions, and why an author would choose to use each type of information. This can stand-alone or be used as a pre-lesson for the Exploring Author's Purpose and Point of View lesson.

Through examples and non-examples, students will learn what qualifies as a region. Creativity and problem solving skills will be put to the test as students determine the necessary elements that make up a region.
