Try your hand at writing similes with this third-grade worksheet!

If someone loses their glasses, are they as blind as a bee or a bat? This fill-in-the-blank worksheet introduces your child to popular similes.

As quiet as a mouse or as quiet as a cucumber? Kids will learn the definition of a simile, then use pictures as clues to complete the similes.

Can you tell the difference between a simile and a metaphor? Students will seek to distinguish between—and determine the meanings of—simple similes and metaphors with this multiple choice activity.

Children work with two forms of figurative language in this grammar worksheet.
