Horse chestnuts are inedible, but British children found a fun use for them around the 1840s by turning them into a game called Conkers.

Competitors go head-to-head only this time it's a race to figure out the lowest common multiple of two numbers; an important step to working with fractions!

The proportion game combines chance with math skills and is a perfect way for your third grader to become more familiar with equivalent fractions.
