This Mother's Day, mix in some fifth grade science learning to create this fabulous fudge!

Show your fifth grade scientist how to create a siphon using two buckets, plastic tubing, and water. Watch her astonishment as the water travels uphill!

This project demonstrates the correspondence between the volume of water displaced by a submerged object and the volume of the object displacing it.

Invite your fifth grader to test the different rates of liquid absorption in synthetic and cotton materials, such as nylon and cotton.

Science isn't ho hum anymore when it involves building catapults to teach your fifth grader about projectile motion.

Help your fifth grader execute this experiment involving a lit candle (submerged in water!) to show him the wonders of heat energy transference.

This experiment that explores water and air pressure will amaze your fifth grader as it appears that a single card is holding water in an upside-down glass.

Get your fifth grader involved in some earth science by helping her plan and create her very own rock collection.

Using an empty tennis ball can and a swimming pool, you will determine if it's possible to have a conversation under water.

Discover whether different amounts of water added into a wine glass will produce a different pitch when their fingers are rubbed along the rim.

This science fair project idea investigates which objects float and sink in honey, water, and oil.

In this science fair project, kids start a chemical reaction that will make a balloon inflate itself!

This science fair project idea produces sounds by creating vibrations using different objects.

This science fair project demonstrates the principles of reflection through simple experiments involving mirrors and light.

This science fair project idea produces varying pitches of sound.

This science fair project idea explores whether talking to a plant will help it grow.

This science fair project examines how tsunamis travel by simulating a tsunami moving around an island. You will generate a pretend tsunami in a swimming pool.

This science fair project creates a visual model of whatâs happening to sound waves as a car approaches and then leaves.
