Give students plenty of practice adding to 20 with this fun game! Use this scaffolded EL Lesson alone or for more addition practice before teaching the Do Math with M&Ms lesson.

With this pastry themed lesson, your students will apply addition strategies to solve two-step, three-digit addition word problems. Finding the solutions will be sweet!

Students put their understanding of one and 10 more to work as they write word problems for classmates to solve. This lesson plan can be used alone or with Picture Addition.
