Antonym Match

Analyze antonyms with this cut-and-paste worksheet for first and second graders! Learners must match each of the words at the bottom of the page with its antonym, or the word that means its opposite. There are six pairs of antonyms in total for students to match.

Practicing with antonyms can help early readers build their vocabularies and understand the meaning of different words. Students can incorporate these words into their own writing to add variety, show contrast, or describe details. These skills will encourage learners to become strong readers and writers.
