Atomic Structure: Drawing Models

All attention on atoms in this amazing activity! In each of the six problems, students will be given the name of an element, its atomic number, and its mass number. They will need to determine how many protons, neutrons, and electrons are in one atom of the element, then draw a corresponding atomic model, making sure they put the correct number of electrons in each shell of the model. 

This middle school worksheet is a great choice for students learning about the structure of atoms and the ways that atoms can be represented visually. Learners can become more familiar with Bohr atomic models and boost their conceptual knowledge of subatomic particles.
