Dot It: Short o Word Families

Find words in the -op, -og, -ot, and -ock word families with this preschool and kindergarten worksheet! Students will look at each word family and picture in the left column, then identify which pictures in the right column belong in the same word family. Learners must fill in the circle beneath the correct pictures with a dot marker or crayon.

Young readers can use this hands-on activity to practice recognizing short o word families. By focusing on the sounds instead of the spelling of each word, students are encouraged to segment the words and isolate phonemes, helping to build phonemic awareness and develop early literacy skills.
